A beret-style hat in DK (8-ply) yarn, combining moss stitch and cables. You will need about 200m (2 x 50g skeins) of yarn.

A wavy scarf in DK (8-ply) yarn, finished size 100cm x 15cm.You will need about 150m of yarn in total, and as many skeins as you want colours. 

This is a short scarf, better worn wrapped tightly round your neck than hanging loose.   It uses simple increases and decreases to form the wave pattern, which is emphasized by using a different colour for each pattern repeat.
